Cowgirl Express Rodeo Drill Team
2006 USEDC National Champions
Cowgirl Express Rodeo Drill Team is a nationally recognized equestrian drill team based in Ohio. In July 2006, they competed with several other teams from throughout the country at the United States Equestrian Drill Competition in Texas capturing the Overall National Championship. They also successfully defended their National Championship Title in the Adult/Mixed Division.
Cowgirl Express takes pride in bringing the technical and precision style drill derived from states like California, Oregon and Washington to the Midwest. During 2006, the rigs that carry these cowgirls and their horses will each travel over 7500 miles performing, entertaining, competing, and educating.
In the arena the women dress in cowgirl style complete with colorful rodeo chaps and perform one of their six to ten minute drills with intricate and daring maneuvers at a gallop, choreographed to fast-paced music. They ride a variety of breeds including Quarter Horses, Paints, Pintos, Arabians, and others all in western style. Their horses sparkle with matching Weaver Tough Enough to Wear Pink tack, royal blue saddle blankets, and blue leg wraps.
